Conversant and CJ are digital marketing companies which provide services that range from serving relevant advertising to consumers to ensuring that websites and mobile apps get compensated for their content. We are an important component of the free and diverse internet that you are accustomed to today. Without companies like us, it’s likely that most of the free and diverse content you view online would need to start charging you subscription fees, and many of the websites and apps you currently use may not be able to exist.
We take privacy and data protection very seriously, and our entire business model is built around a privacy-by-design approach. We continuously weigh the benefits of data collection with the potential risks to consumers. We take proactive measures to keep data that directly identifies you, such as your name, address and email address, out of our systems. If we process data that directly identifies you, it is first sent to a service provider which removes the directly identifiable data before sending it to us. Instead, we recognize consumers through pseudonymous identifiers, such as Cookie IDs.
It is important that we be transparent with you by presenting you with an opportunity to see which data we hold about you and allow you to delete it. We also allow you to restrict processing of browser activity data by clicking here.
However, we respect that you still may wish to have your data deleted. You can do so using the button below. It can take up to 24 hours to delete the personal data held by Conversant and up to 7 days to delete the personal data held by CJ.
Unfortunately, we do not have the capability to correct inaccurate data. Instead, we allow you to delete it. Note that this data is used for advertising purposes and not for any sensitive purposes, such as determining eligibility. We believe that allowing you to delete data is aligned with data minimisation standards promulgated under data protection principles.
Please note that Cookie IDs are unique per browser, so you will need to view and delete your browser activity data separately for each web browser you use.
If we process data that directly identifies you, it is first sent to a service provider which removes the directly identifiable data before sending it to us. Thus, in order for us to determine whether we hold any additional data pertaining to you and provide you with such data, we will need to first check with the service provider. After they perform this review, they will send you a postal letter to the address provided below with instructions on how to view and delete your offline data. To start this process, follow the instructions below.
